Goodnight Keith Moon, by Bruce Worden and Clare Cross
- So this is awesome. Or maybe horrifying. Possibly both. There have been many Goodnight Moon parodies throughout the years, but I think this one takes the cake. If you click through, I must warn you that there are all manner of vices and Keith Moon is most certainly not alive. (It is not for the faint of heart.) But I suspect that to all the sleep-deprived parents of infants out there, 'Goodnight Keith Moon' is the FUNNIEST THING IN THE UNIVERSE. (via Damn, Gina)
- Speaking of hilarious, how much do I love this Baby, Be of Use, board book series, by Lisa Brown? So much. I have helped many customers choose baby-shower gifts in my time as a bookseller, and I am never happier than when they share my opinion that books for the newly born are primarily for the parent. Honestly, you could read the latest issue of The Economist to a one-month-old and they'd be just as happy. So why not gift the new parents in your life a copy of 'Baby, Fix My Car,' or 'Baby, Do My Banking?' and give them a reason to laugh at 4 a.m. (via Fuse#8)
-Lastly, a big, huge thank-you to Betsy Bird at Fuse #8 for her kind mention of Book-Scout over the weekend! I have been blushing since Saturday.
Happy Monday, and Summer Solstice, everyone. I do believe its time for some mint juleps on the stoop. The cold, rainy, wet stoop. Oh, Portland.
